A few weeks ago I met a woman who asked me about “the recent trend in pulling technology out of elementary school classrooms.” For a minute I was kind of speechless. Then I tried to explain to her that all of the data I have seen don’t support that assertion. It was pretty clear she didn’t believe me. A friend recently bought a very neat dictionary for her 5 year old granddaughter. Upon opening the gift, the little girl said “Grandma, my school only uses iPads”. True story!!!
I LOVE IT!! Too funny!
I myself just pulled together a bunch of books to donate. I pulled my old dictionary off the shelf and thought, “What do I need this for anymore?” and added it to the stack. If I need to look up a word I use Dictionary.com!
